Election law scorecard heading into ’24

Two years ago, lawsuits were filed in state and federal court challenging two election laws enacted by the Kansas Legislature.

The legislation - HB 2332 and HB 2183 - did a number of things that were contested on constitutional grounds.

Among other things:

They placed limits on the number of ballots third parties can collect and deliver to election offices on behalf of someone else.

They banned someone from falsely representing election officials, which the plaintiffs say could . . .
