A national group of state and local election officials, including the Kansas elections director, are warning the U.S. Postal Service of pitfalls that could keep mail ballots from being delivered on time for this fall's presidential election.

The National Association of State Election Directors on Wednesday sent a letter to Postmaster General Louis DeJoy warning him about exceptionally long delivery times that could lead to ballots being thrown out if they don't arrive on time.
