Chief Justice Marla Luckert said Wednesday that the court system didn't pay ransom money to retrieve data that foreign “cybercriminals” stole from the court system, which was crippled for weeks because of the cyberattack.
"The court did make a decision following the principle of the rule of law that we wanted to rely on that and didn't want to pay the ransom," Luckert told reporters after making her annual address to the Legislature on Wednesday.
