A so-called "pop-up" political action committee that changed its reporting status so it wouldn't have to disclose its donors before the election raised $2.74 million to support Democrat Noah Taylor's campaign for U.S. Senate, a new report filed late Thursday shows.
The 1861 Initiative based in Wichita reported its expenditures during July but didn't have to report its donors until after the Aug. 4 primary because it changed its reporting status at the last minute to monthly from quarterly. Taylor raised about SSJ
