A coalition of 15 business groups is suggesting the governor and the Legislature focus their efforts on property taxes and other issues where they have consensus even if it possibly means delaying action on the stickier issue of income tax cuts.
The coalition, which includes the Kansas Livestock Association, Kansas Chamber of Commerce, the Kansas Bankers Association, the Association of Realtors, the Kansas Farm Bureau and others, laid out their idea in a letter sent to Gov. Laura Kelly on Wednesday.
