Good morning:

The news came fast and furious last week, starting on a sad note with the death of state Rep. Les Mason of McPherson.

It accelerated with the candidate filing deadline for the Legislature and  was followed by the resignation of the leader of the state's broadband office.

And now momentum appears to be building toward approving tax incentives for a new stadium for the Royals and Chiefs.

It's hard to get sleep and our daily run in with so much happening at a time when politics usually slows to a crawl.
