As they explore the possibility of a new stadium, the Kansas City Royals have hired a team of lobbyists to advocate for a bill that would provide tax incentives for professional sports teams to locate in Kansas.
The Royals have hired eight lobbyists to join the 27 others who are lobbying on the Chiefs' behalf leading up to the June 18 special session when lawmakers will consider a bill to expand a tax incentive known as STAR bonds to include a professional sports team.
