Republican Attorney General Kris Kobach is asking the state Supreme Court to remove the state from court supervision in the landmark school funding case that was decided four years ago.
Solicitor General Anthony Powell, the state's top appellate lawyer in the attorney general's office, filed a motion with the Supreme Court on Wednesday asking it to give up jurisdiction of the case, the Sunflower State Journal has learned.
