The top Democrat in the Kansas House won't seek reelection as the minority leader after the 2024 reelection, a spokesperson said

State Rep. Vic Miller of Topeka will not run again for leader of the Democratic House caucus, Alexis Simmons said Wednesday.

Simmons declined to comment further other than to confirm that he had told a group of Johnson County Democrats that he did not plan to seek reelection as their leader.

Miller's decision not to run again for leader has fueled even more speculation that he plans to run for the newly formed Senate District 19 seat . . .
