Democratic long shot files against Biden in Kansas

Democratic Congressman Dean Phillips of Minnesota plans to bring his long shot bid for president to Kansas this spring, filing to get on the ballot to challenge President Joe Biden.

Phillips, the heir to one of America’s largest liquor dynasties who made millions from a Texas-based gelato company, paid the $10,000 fee to get on the primary ballot.

So far, Biden is the only Democrat to file for the March 19 presidential primary in Kansas.

Former President Donald Trump is the only Republican to file in Kansas so far, although more candidates are anticipated with the deadline . . .
