ACLU-affiliated group plans to drop $600,000 in Kansas elections

A group affiliated with the American Civil Liberties Union of Kansas plans to pump $600,000 into state and local elections this fall, more than twice what it spent in the 2022 elections.

The group - Kansans United for Civil Liberties - plans to drop money in at least 10 Kansas House and countywide races in the general election.

The campaign was described as "one of the largest civil liberties-oriented voter education efforts in recent history in Kansas."
