U.S. Supreme Court decision bolsters Kansas age-verification law

The U.S. Supreme Court on Friday upheld a Texas law similar to one passed in Kansas that makes it tougher for children to view pornography online with a new age-verification requirement.

The court ruled 6-3 in favor of the law that required pornographic websites to verify someone seeking to access the online material was 18 or older. Similar laws are now in place in Kansas and 17 other states.
