House Speaker Dan Hawkins and Senate President Ty Masterson have blessed 52 bills that will remain in the mix when the Legislature returns from the turnaround break next week.
The bills cover a number of areas related to gender-affirming care, a new school choice program, state investments in countries that could pose a threat to the United States and a $40 million grant program for homeless shelters.
There are also bills still in play that would abolish the special education task force, expand the membership of the wildlife commission and rework the statute for wrongful convictions.
