The state Transportation Department on Thursday committed to constructing $350 million in new highway projects from 2026 to 2028.
The agency added seven expansion and modernization highway projects to its construction pipeline as part of the state's ongoing 10-year transportation plan.
Since the passage of the last transportation plan in 2020, the Transportation Department said it advanced to construction more than $2 billion in road projects.
The construction pipeline is an idea that was developed after Gov. Laura Kelly was elected governor in 2018.
It is dynamic and is subject to change every two years as transportation priorities . . .
