The Kansas Senate passed a multipronged tax bill that would limit government from running businesses that compete with the private sector.
The bill was mixed with several other more popular provisions such as a property tax refund for veterans and expanded property tax benefits for seniors.
It also exempts certain types of property such as snowmobiles, all-terrain vehicles, recreational off-highway vehicles and golf cart from property taxes.
