A new political action committee has joined the Republican primary for the 2nd Congressional District seat, dropping a new mailer criticizing former Attorney General Derek Schmidt for being squishy on immigration.
The Kansas Conservative Fund has spent about $36,400 on independent expenditures ripping into Schmidt, who has been better financed than his GOP rivals and is leading the field in the only public poll released so far in the race.
