It's not the "man on fire" video from the 2022 governor's race that became ingrained in so many politicos minds.
But Republican state Sen. Dennis Pyle of Hiawatha launched the first television ad in his reelection campaign for the 1st Senate District this week.
It's more conventional than the 2022 video that was apparently made by a high school student.
The new ad bills Pyle as a proven conservative who opposes abortion, supports gun rights and is a champion of small business.
This ad is very different from the 2022 campaign . . .
