Kansas Health Secretary Lee Norman has left Gov. Laura Kelly's administration, becoming the fourth senior staffer to leave as the governor heads into the last year of her first term in office.
The governor's office announced Norman's departure Friday morning, less than 24 hours after it was revealed that Marci Nielsen, the governor's top adviser in battling the COVID-19 pandemic was leaving her position.
Ashley Goss will serve as acting secretary until a permanent candidate is appointed.
