Republican attorney general candidate Tony Mattivi and treasurer candidate Steven Johnson are tapping into support from moderate Johnson County Republicans at an event planned for early June.
Mattivi and Johnson were invited to attend a reception sponsored by a number of moderate Republicans, including Mary Birch, Johnson County Community College Trustee Greg Musil, former state Rep. Jan Kessinger of Overland Park, former state Sen. Terrie Huntington of Fairway and former National GOP Committeeman Steve Cloud of Lenexa.
The "meet-and-greet reception" will be held at Overland Park's Doubletree Hotel on June 8.
