The Senate on Thursday approved a tax bill giving up about $500 million in revenue over three years, sending it to Gov. Laura Kelly who urged lawmakers not to make any tax policy changes.
The Senate voted 24-16 for the tax bill, which includes a mix of provisions that mostly focus on returning extra revenue the state expects to collect from changes in the federal tax code.
