Kansas and six other states prevailed in their effort to get a federal judge in Georgia to block a federal vaccine mandate for federal contractors.
U.S. District Judge R. Stan Baker found that the Biden administration exceeded its authority under the Procurement Act when it issued an executive order mandating vaccines for federal contractors and subcontractors.
Baker's ruling applied to all federal contractors and subcontractors in all covered contracts in any state or territory of the United States.
