A.G. to appeal abortion regulations ruling

Republican Attorney General Derek Schmidt said Tuesday he plans to appeal a court decision that permanently blocks regulations for abortion clinics in Kansas.

While Schmidt said he would ask a higher court to take up the case, he suggested that the best way for Kansans to address the issue is to pass a constitutional amendment that would ensure abortion is not a guaranteed right in Kansas.
