Judge rules against insurance company in KanCare lawsuit

A state judge on Friday ruled against an insurance company that lost its bid for a KanCare contract and claimed the program changed without the company getting to revise its proposal.

Shawnee County District Judge Franklin Theis on Friday ruled against Amerigroup, one of the three managed-care companies that provided services since 2013 under KanCare, the state’s $3 billion privatized Medicaid program covering 400,000 Kansans.
