Top Republican Senate and House leaders on Wednesday met with Gov. Laura Kelly and her executive team to talk about Medicaid expansion without any indication of movement.

Republicans say they want an alternative to the Medicaid expansion plan passed by the House that has been bottled up in a Senate committee for several weeks.

Senate Majority Leader Jim Denning revealed the meeting Wednesday afternoon. It also included House Majority Leader Dan Hawkins and Republican state Rep. Brenda Landwehr, chair of the the House health committee.
