
A bill that would expand a program providing property tax rebates for seniors and disabled veterans moved out of a Senate committee Wednesday.
The Senate tax committee signed off on a bill that would make more people eligible for a tax-rebate program that was first made available in 2022.
The bill increases the income threshold for eligibility, boosts the value of eligible homes and exempts Social Security from counting toward the income limit established by the program.
