Secretary of state supports citizenship designation on driver’s licenses

Secretary of State Scott Schwab came out in support of a bill that would require Kansas driver's licenses to show citizenship status during a hearing that boiled over in a tart disagreement about committee decorum.

Speaking on behalf of the secretary of state's office, general counsel Clay Barker expressed support for the bill introduced by the chair of the House elections committee.
