House Majority Leader Chris Croft has undergone eye surgery and will need some time to recover from the procedure.
In an email sent to House Republicans Friday, the Overland Park lawmaker said he underwent surgery for a detached retina in his left eye on Thursday.
He already had a similar issue in his right eye that cost him some vision.
"Luckily we are on top of it and I have a great care team that will get me back to work as soon as possible," Croft said in the email.
