The filing deadline for Kansas House candidates is now about five weeks away and the field is increasingly taking shape with a number of incumbents not seeking reelection, some because they're retiring and some because they are seeking higher office.
As of late Thursday, there were 165 candidates who have filed for House seats, including 101 Republicans and 64 Democrats.
