Businesses that receive discounted electric rates from a state development incentive would have to be disclosed in a biennial report submitted to the Legislature.
Republican state Sen. Rob Olson added an amendment to the state's $25.1 billion budget that would require businesses receiving those discounts to be disclosed to lawmakers.
State regulators issue a report to the Legislature every two years detailing special electric contracts and reduced rates as well as the unnamed companies receiving those discounts.
