Gov. Laura Kelly announced Friday that her administration has agreed to share personal information about beneficiaries of the food-assistance program with assurances from the Trump administration that the data won't be handed over to foreign governments.
Kelly also said that the U.S. Department of Agriculture has agreed to withdraw its threat to withhold $10.4 million a quarter from the state until it provided the information. The USDA oversees the food-assistance program.
