Democratic Gov. Laura Kelly on Wednesday came out in support of Democratic state Sen. Cindy Holscher in the Kansas governor's race, apparently trying to bring the party together despite the growing rift between the two.
"The future of Kansas will be determined in November. If Ty Masterson is elected, he will take our state back to the dark days of Sam Brownback: To the days of chronically underfunded schools, fiscal mismanagement, and crumbling roads and bridges – the very problems I ran for governor to solve," Kelly said in a statement.
