We're again returning to the golden age of journalism (that doesn't exist anymore, by the way) when major metro newspapers published what was known as the "bulldog edition" on Saturday night. The bulldog edition was the earliest edition of the Sunday newspaper. It usually had old news or some breaking news from Saturday night. It is believed to have been the product of the newspaper wars of the 1890s (we don't have those any more since content is now socialized) when newspaper editors battled - or fought like bulldogs - for readers with special . . .
