Water Office director to retire

Gov. Laura Kelly announced on Thursday that Connie Owen would retire as director of the Kansas Water Office after serving in that position since 2021.

Her last day is Aug. 1.

Former state Sen. Carolyn McGinn, who currently serves as the governor’s special adviser on water, will serve in that position after Owen retires.
