Gov. Laura Kelly's first judicial nomination took a serious hit Monday after Senate President Susan Wagle said she would oppose Jeffry Jack's appointment to the Court of Appeals.
"His long history of promoting gun control, pro-abortion rhetoric, constant criticism of President Trump, and partisan politics should disqualify him for a position on one of our state’s highest courts," Wagle said in a statement.
"Kansans want judges that are tough on crime, will uphold the constitution and protect our God given rights.”
