U.S. Supreme Court sets aside appeal in deadly KHP pursuit

Prosecutors will not be allowed to use evidence from a deadly police pursuit after the U.S. Supreme Court refused to hear an appeal of an excessive police force case involving the Kansas Highway Patrol.

The U.S. Supreme Court turned aside Attorney General Kris Kobach's appeal of a lower-court ruling that prosecutors could not use evidence from the 2021 chase that led to the  death of a woman who was a passenger riding in a suspected stolen vehicle.
