Two Democrats seek to unseat Claeys

A second Democratic primary is unfolding, this time in Salina where two Democrats are seeking to take on Republican state Rep. J.R. Claeys.

Teacher Ryan Holmquist announced today that he's running for the 69th District House seat as a Democrat.

He will have a primary against Phil Black, an analyst with a company that conducts compensation and benefits studies for public school districts. Black said on his website he has run for office seven times.
