A House-Senate conference committee on Thursday revived a bill that would ban transgender girls and women from participating in interscholastic sports for females.
The Senate voted 24-10 last month to pass the bill, which was portrayed as either an effort to ensure fairness for women in interscholastic sports or a discriminatory attack on transgender children.
