The Kansas ethics commission on Wednesday fined one of the teen gubernatorial candidates $5,000 for failing to file an amended campaign finance report for January.
The commission fined Jack Bergeson after he didn't show up for a hearing scheduled for Wednesday. The fine can be cut in half if he pays $2,500 and properly files the report within 30 days.
