The seven justices of the Kansas Supreme Court on Tuesday revealed that foreign "cybercriminals" stole data from the court system and held it hostage for unspecified demands.
In a rare joint statement from the court beyond an opinion, the seven justices shed more light on a "security incident" that has debilitated the state's court system since Oct. 12. It is now described as a "sophisticated foreign cyber attack."
