State election officials on Monday rejected former Republican state legislator Carl Maughan's filing to run again for the Kansas House as he tries to overcome a history of personal and legal troubles.
Maughan announced Saturday that he filed to run for the House District 100 seat, which is now represented by outgoing House Speaker Dan Hawkins of Wichita.
But the Kansas secretary of state's office sent him a SSJ
