The group of schools suing over public education funding has identified what it believes is an error in Gov. Laura Kelly's plan to comply with a Supreme Court order to adequately fund education.
The group initially supported the bill backed by the governor. But this week its lobbyist filed new testimony, backing away from the plan because of a "drafting error" that doesn't provide enough money to settle the litigation.
