Republican Attorney General Derek Schmidt would sign a bill barring any government or public official in Kansas from ordering mask mandates in response to a contagious or infectious disease, a spokesman said.
Schmidt, the presumptive GOP nominee for governor, believes the bill is consistent with his opposition to mask mandates, COVID-19 vaccine mandates and vaccine passports.
Schmidt has joined in a number of lawsuits opposing health mandates imposed by the federal government during the pandemic, including one SSJ
