Recovery Office director steps down

The head of the office responsible for overseeing the state's recovery from the economic fallout of the coronavirus pandemic has resigned.

Cheryl Harrison-Lee has stepped down as executive director of the recovery office nearly three months after the governor named her to the post in May.

Transportation Secretary Julie Lorenz will now oversee the Recovery Office. She will continue on as transportation secretary.

The governor's office said Harrison-Lee has taken an "interim job" and will be returning to the private sector.
