President Donald Trump has appointed outgoing state Rep. Patrick Penn of Wichita to a position at the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins announced that Penn was among the latest slate of presidential appointments for key positions at the USDA, including the Food and Nutrition Service, Farm Service Agency and Rural Development.
Penn will serve as deputy undersecretary for Food and Nutrition Service at USDA.
