(Updated to reflect new comments from Senate president and Democratic response)
A new tax bill crafted by House and Senate negotiators is estimated to come in at more than $200 million less than the legislation vetoed by Gov. Laura Kelly.
Preliminary figures compiled by fiscal analysts show that the new tax bill is estimated to cost about $239 million over three years.
The previous tax bill passed by the Legislature - and vetoed by the governor - was estimated at about $504 million over three years.
