New campaign finance limits boost historic House GOP fundraising push

The Republican House caucus set a new fundraising record for an off-election year with the help of a new law increasing campaign contribution limits in Kansas.

A memo to donors obtained by the Sunflower State Journal reveals that the Republican House Campaign Committee raised more than $1 million in 2025, beating its previous record for an off-election year by about $400,000.

The record-setting amount came at the same time the Kansas Legislature increased limits on campaign contributions for the first time in more than 40 years in an effort to account for inflation.
