More than 300 young adults receive concealed-carry permits under new law

More than 300 young adults received permits to carry a concealed firearm under a new law passed last year by the Legislature over the objections of Gov. Laura Kelly.

A new report released by the Kansas attorney general's office Tuesday shows that the state issued 305 provisional licenses to applicants from the ages of 18 to 20 under the new law enacted in 2021 by the Legislature.

The report also shows that the overall number of new concealed carry SSJ
