Gov. Laura Kelly is going to get a seventh appointment to the Kansas Court of Appeals with appellate Judge Henry Green Jr. planning to retire March 3 after 32 years on the bench.
Green will have been the longest serving judge on the 14-member appeals court when he leaves the bench. His retirement has been known for months.
He heard his last case in October while sitting on a three-judge panel that met in Leavenworth County.
