Republican lawmakers are considering a new way to weed out diversity, equity and inclusion from higher education, possibly targeting coursework that incorporates those ideas and concepts as requirements to get a degree.
Republican state Rep. Kristey Williams on Tuesday floated model legislation developed by the Goldwater Institute that's intended to ensure that no student is forced to take university or college level courses "promoting ideological activism."
The bill was put forward at a meeting of the House Select Committee on Government Oversight, which convened Tuesday . . .
