Republican Attorney General Kris Kobach on Wednesday joined with three other states to sue President Joe Biden's administration over new Title IX rules intended to protect LGBTQ students from discrimination at federally funded schools.
Kobach joined with attorneys general from Utah, Wyoming and Alaska to challenge a new Title IX regulation issued by the Education Department that clarifies that discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity is prohibited.
Kobach called the new rule "insanity" and "unconscionable."
